Use of DataSource

Hi,
I have to use DataSource object from websphere app server to use for log4j initialization, instead of reading from property file. so user should not change database property at multiple places. It seems it should be straight-forward to do that. But I couldn't find any solution on the net. Does anybody know how to do that?
