Throwable size limit

I've noticed that logging a @THROWABLE@ doesn't seem to work with stack traces longer than 4k. Is this a limitation of the appender?

I've defined a CLOB (Oracle 9i) column to receive the stack trace, but nested exceptions longer that 4096 bytes are presenting a problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
